Braid or wire for dipsy divers

Not sure what to buy, braid is obviously cheaper but will it dive as deep ?

braid works good in the spring but you want 30 pound wire to combat the fleas in summer.it is worth every penny

Braid dose not go as deep as wire by quite a bit.

These are just rough generalizations but, there are different sonic signatures between braid and wire. Feeding fish will typically respond to wire presentations aggressively. Braid can be more effective with spoons and long leads (Slide diver) when the bite is tough.
