Buoy Data near Oswego

Somebody told me there is a buoy located 2 miles due north of the lighthouse in Oswego that will give wave height data.

 

Anybody know anything about it?  Can you send me a link?

i believe this is a "private" company's data buoy.  i asked couple of years ago about it.  it is a small buoy & not very bright in color, so once u see it, mark it on GPS for future reference.

Buoy wave height is different from true wave heights. As a wave passes the buoy does not rise or fall as the wave does not fully support the buoy. Always add a foot or two to the wave heights for a true reading.
