Retaining pin on big Jon rigger

Anyone have any ideas how to push this pin all the way through so I can pull off the cable spool and replace the counter spring?

If I remember right I don't think you have to remove the spool to replace that spring for the counter. feel around the spring and feel where the bump is where the spring screws into itself, and twist it , the spring should come apart so you can put it around the spool and screw it together again.

I have Proos down-riggers and have change/replaced the spring this way.

it should just push/pull out try a little wd40 or pb blaster

It will tap out with a little pressure.....

Channel locks or use a punch with a hammer. Just tap is easy it will come out.

 A litttle WD40 and a firm grip with wire cutters wedged againt the spindle did the trick!  Thanks to all who replied!
