Stinger and fly combo by A-tom-ik

I just bought some stinger and fly combo's due to reading people were having success on them. How exactly are these run? Is the fly tied to the spoon to trail back 18-24"????????

I don't think they are made to run together. Ithink it is just a promotional deal.

I just found out it for a mupp rig set up. Using the stinger as an attractor above the target fly that is on a flasher/of some type??????

Good day, i have been running the fly behind a flasher, "mostly blue" and "mostly green" flys. They have been our best luck this weekend. Although we were fishing this morning, had some luck on flys and herring strips, but i put on an old forest green lyman, 3 for 4 from 9:30 to 10:30. Fish never touched anything else.

That makes sense versus running the spoon behind the flasher.

Running the spoon stacked above the Flasher fly combo (mupped)somedays thats a good tool to run as your deeper set to draw fish in to your spread. Works really good when the temp/fish are down 50 fow and deeper. Try and match similar color schemes together when you run them that close of the same rod. Run the flasher fly short of your ball 12-15 and stack the spoon a minimum of 10 ft above that.

Had some pretty good luck with spoons behind dodgers on long leads, like meat rig long...

Keating is a big proponent of spoons below and behind flasher/flies. "Suck 'em in" kind of deal.
