Pre season sightings

Had a buck last year known as the high 8, that was 2 1/2 and you get a free pass at that age on my property. He seems to make a great jump in the last year even though still in velvet. Also grew a ninth point. With 3 1/2 being the bar I've set, might be hard not clipping on if he comes by!

He's a shooter for sure Jakey. 3.5 is my minimum as well. My son was out last night trying to fill a nuisance tag for one of the fruit farmers. He had a couple nice bucks, including a dandy 10 pt come through at 10 yds. He hung that stand yesterday afternoon, I hope they stick around for him

Thanks ALOT of work to get them there! They were in rough shape for sure. All my plots have rebounded tremendously! This particular plot has had by far the most action. 2400 pics in about 10 days and the clover is mowed right down! I hope to many mouths don't destroy it.

Why are those big bucks only dumb in the offseason?

I love all the pics, makes up for what I won't see once the season starts. Kind of like vacation, the best part is the night before!

Not sure if pix #2 and #3 are the same deer the pix were taken a few weeks apart.

Three wild pear trees that i cleared around and pruned up five years ago are now loaded and slowly dropping small green pears.   my battery went dead on my camera there is so much action.

The saying "the best time to plant apple trees is 15 years ago and now! "  couldint be more true.

All the box stores just received shipments of fall fruirt trees for $22 You can get a 6' tree that will be 12' and loaded in a few years. There is a reason apple farmers have to get nuance permits every year ..deer come from miles away and when you kill 50 doe in one year 50 more take their place the next year.
