Tying wire........

Ok ... I'm sure this question has been asked a million time's..... Putting Mason 7 strand wire on 2 reel's.....Question is what kind of a knot is used to tie the line directly to the spool???? And if I put some mono backing on the reel what knot is used to attach the wire to the mono..... THANK'S GUY'S.....

It's been a while but what from what i can remember I used a couple over hand knots. Assuming you are putting 1000 ft you just need a good knot to start winding the wire.

I have never used mono for wire typically it is not needed. If you wish to do that then I would suggest a albright knot.

Like PY88 said, no backer needed, just 100ft. wire directly to reel.

I also put a piece of black electrical tape on the arbor prior to spooling the wire to prevent slipping.

Also, landingzone's post should be "1000 ft". A typo for sure.
