how do you repair coated line that has been scraped?

is there a particular technique, a specific kit to do this, any advice......?

used it for the first time a few weeks ago and it worked beautifully (Depth Raider), then found out half way through the day that my downrigger had a notch in it (on the boom) that had been scraping some of the coating, but only in about a 5-10 foot section.

I definitely lost signal, down around 95 feet.... it progressively got more shallow as the day went on.

thanks, I'll go ahead and see if I can find some liquid tape. Is this stuff found in a fishing store, or any hardware store?

hardware store, in the electronics section. Liquid electrical tape.
