Oswego River report

The river flow began dropping last Friday and has been under 10,000cfs for a few days. This afternoon it has dropped to 6,130 cfs. This level makes more areas along the river accessible. The river walks and behind the hotels are suggested areas to try. Driftboats have been active in the river with anglers finding good action with steelhead and rainbows but brown trout seem to be rather scarce. Temperatures have been near 50 degrees for a couple of days but a cold front and some snow are expected through the next couple of days.

Notice: The bridge to Leto Island is closed, and there are mandatory personal flotation device (PFD) zones on the river. For more information, view the Brookfield Varick Fish Safely Brochure below.
