Prop damage!

Recommended Posts

I think minor Nick's and damage are okay as long as it doesn't vibrate. My props have edge damage from striking all the debris that was in lake Ontario last spring. Airplane prop damage can be filed out, as long as they don't exceed a certain tolerance level. It all depends on the amount of damage really. I would file it out as long as it is not excessive. Unless you want to play it safe and get a new one.

If you're up in the 1000 Islands area, I would just take it to Don's Prop Shop. Very professional and a fairly quick turnaround time. I would also get a back-up prop as I used to hit the rocks a lot near Clayton and that entire river. Good luck!

Don sold the business. They are no longer open in Clayton. One of the marinas around there bought his equipment. I will miss Don. He fixed a lot of props for me over the years
