Copper ?

I lost about 150' of copper in a tangle. Any recommended way to tie copper to copper to add more on what's left?

Better off getting a new spool or making a shorter copper The guy's suggestions below are right, but the reason I said what I did is that any connection point with wire and especially copper can be a potential weak link in the setup and when the wire is stressed sufficiently- that is the point it will usually part or break and in that case you don't save money etc. Most of the time you don't expect hang up on bottom with the coppers but if you do chances are whatever you are running will be gone and the likely place it leaves from is where the connection was made.

I am a fan of putting all brand new on.  I don't want a failure.  It gets pricey but I would much rather spend some money than lose a big fish.

I have never had a haywire twist fail. Most copper failures come with swivel connections or Albright failures. Haywires never fail because nothing is ever bent--it's twisted.
