Wayne County Fishing Report for October 23, 2018

Recommended Posts

Streams-Maxwell Creek has a small opening to Lake Ontario and there are some trout and salmon entering the stream. It’s certainly not large and we need lots of rain to make any decent flow to the stream.

Salmon Creek in Pultneyville has fish and Bear Creek in Ontario has a small run of trout and salmon. Egg sacs and bright beads are working.

Because of low water in Lake Ontario and only trickles in the creeks, pier fishing is an option for stream fishing enthusiasts. Cast-out spoons. Acme Cleo has a dynamite Glow-Green spoon that has caught salmon and brown trout from the piers.

The Sodus Bay channel is the largest, however Port Bay has a small channel and pier. Access is at the north end of West Port Bay Road.
