Oswego River report:

According to Oz Angling Bait & Tackle:

With more rain over the weekend, the river flow is up to 21,200 cfs as of this morning. The fish are fairly predictable with the high water conditions because most of the them are consolidated in fewer spots along the bank. Anglers are finding steelhead, brown trout and walleye. Most anglers are float fishing marabou jigs right now and some anglers have been swimming jigs along the bottom or bottom bouncing egg sacs. High water conditions haven’t been ideal lately, but luckily, there has been a healthy population of trout in the Oswego River this fall and anglers are still catching fish.

Notice: The bridge to Leto Island is closed, and there are mandatory personal flotation device (PFD) zones on the river. For more information, view the Brookfield Varick Fish Safely Brochure below. The Oswego Fire Department offers loaner life jackets at no charge through its “Loaner for Life” program. For more information contact the fire station, 35 E. Cayuga St., at 315-343-2161.
