Already winterized the boat, so it's the woods for me. Stuck a nice 6 point buck who snuck in on me from an unseen trail. Too close, I shot high and gave him a back shave! :x :x :x

Saw a real nice old bruiser across the ravine chasing a doe back and forth for 30 - 40 minutes, just couldn't use my Jedi mind powers to get her to cross the creek and come up my side of the trail ( 30 yd. broadside shot when they top out ).

Got one more weekend, then off to Michigan for gun season opening at Aunt & Uncles farm for a few, then back to Canandaigua for a few weeks of 'grocery shopping' in the woods.

where in michigan?were heading to white cty indiana next thurs. also may hve been looked down on by the deer gods one of the guys aunt just passed and they have a 1500acr farm 2 hrs from where were hunting she was a deer activist and no one hunted the property for 25 yrs .now his uncle want us to thin the herd a little ...........i ant gonna belive it till it happens but im hoping.

Be hunting near Farwell, MI. South of Clare, MI which is kinda in the middle of the state, above Lansing. More importantly, above the rifle/shotgun line; so the Marlin 1895 G in .45-70 will get a workout. BOOM!!!
