New Salmon net

I actually have that net, and I  cut the bottom of it because it's huge.. There's a big split ring on the bottom so it's easy enough to do. I fish alone so I was looking for something bigger than the Rangers.

Call Cummings net company. Will custom make whatever you want. Fiberglass or aluminum handles. Solid hoops and any size or type of basket. Price is fair. Nearly indestructible. Fiberglass handles up to 16 ft if needed

My vote is the Beckmann...... when I bought mine the gentlemen said that will be the last net you will ever buy....... he is right.... unless a green horn dumps it over the side........ like before[emoji25][emoji51]

Beckmann’s are nice. My buddy has an older one. The only thing i dont like is its a round extendable handle, its a pain to line up the pin when you want to lock it in. Maybe the new ones are different

I really like my Cummins net can order different net handle lengths and they are light. I like a light net easier to handle.

I own a beckman that is going on its 8th season. Whatever net you get get the cover I bought mine when I bought the net. Best investment I made never have to worry about the net rotting out from UV light when it's hanging up in the barn or in the cuddy. Also get one of the pinch style downrigger releases and electrical tape it to the handle and pinch the net in it before trying to net the fish. It works wonders keeping the net from dragging in the water and getting tangled up in the fish.

So after some research it looks like this is what is getting bought for the boat

Looked at the RS nets at the Niagara show. Look nice but pricey. 100% Lifetime warranty

Maybe somebody who owns one can add some insight

I looked at a couple ranger nets at the show. I like the hoop shape, and they were super light? Anyone have any experience with them?
