Spring striper fishing

Recommended Posts

Chug bug

i used to troll right here In Newburgh. Many guys still do. Since starting my charter business I just felt that blood worms work best.

Several guys are dedicated trollers and work Newburgh, Marlboro and Poughkeepsie. All possible to do in one full day of fishing. Mostly stick baits.

I’m familiar with the bite in that area, trolling with sticks is a waste for me, but you can troll harnesses with sands or bloods during slack tide and do well, stay under 1 mph and troll across the river current, white, green, on cloudy days and gold on sunny days.
