Fly leaders

Started tying my own leaders last year getting ready to do a bunch for this season and just wondered if anyone uses two single hooks instead of a treble and single octopus. Or if it isn't broke don't change it?

I've used 2 singles before. Hardly ever loose a fish once hooked up but it misses many strikes.

I use 2 singles, I get more king hookups with singles. Kings have a really hard mouth and it’s easer sinking a single than a triple. I didn’t have any fish come off last year after switching to tandem singles.

I've never tried it, but some guys swear by it. Just use quality hooks and it shouldn't matter.

I just watched your youtube video last night on tying leaders. Tied some triple bead ones up last night.
