Gambler rig tips

Recommended Posts

Troll them 1.8 or slower at the ball within 5' of the bottom and you will be in lake trout all day.  5-15' leads off the ball.  Any longer, they will grab zebras and quaggas.

Low and slow. It is the least complicated fishing ever. And gambler rigs work so so well

Good summary:smile: Run behind Hammerhead cowbells as close to bottom as possible, speed at about 1.5- 1.8 or so. Watch your rod tips as they should "pulsate rhythmically, adjust line(s) along with bottom contours to  maintain closeness to bottom....BOOM! reel them in:lol: Buy more Hammerhead cowbells and Gambler Rigs of different colors to experiment as they work so well:smile:

So find where that water temp intersects bottom?

Past where the thermal one intersects to bottom. You will find smaller Lakers just past the intersection and bigger ones out past it and deeper.
