Late week the floating dock was put out. The out docks are closed.

On Saturday afternoon, a park manager was at the launch and asked a few people what could be done to make things easier for when the water level comes up another 11 inches. We told her that they'll need a some kind of ramp to step from the launch ramp onto the floating dock. The whole conversation gave me the impression that they're planning on keeping the launch open and want to be ready for it.

Is the water level predicted to go up another 11 inches? If so where is that info? Hope to get my dock in this weekend.

I'm just going by what she said, not something that I know for fact. But it definitely didn't seem like a number that she was just guessing at.

I believe they do it to control the flow of the river for the hydroelectric dams and/or for the shipping lanes.

I thought it might be a good idea to have a thread with updated specific information on the Fair Haven area. A general thread where you can go and read updated information on what it or is not being caught. With all the fish that comes into Bayside Marina, the Charter Captains that work out of there and being it is a DEC check point there is so much information I cant help but think it will benefit others who want to fish out of this area.   What I will do is when I see what is going on I will

    • Boat Ladder, Hook Style, $25

I am selling my 3 step boat ladder. It hooks over the gunwale, measures 36" long and 15" wide. It has the 7" wide hooks and hangs over the gunwale. It's in good working condition, and I think it is stainless steel. $25 local pickup around Watertown NY.   I'm selling it because it's too short for my boat. It will fit many different boats with an average gunwale height (my boat measures 36" from floor to top of gunwale).

    • Autopilot Recommendation Twin Outboard Boat

Looking for an Autopilot recommendation from someone with a similar boat.  I have a 30 ft. twin 250 hp yamaha outboard powered boat.  The boat weighs about 11,000# loaded.  I've been on a few inboard boats that run the Raymarine EV-200 unit and it works great.  I was told I need to step up to the EV-400 with the type 2 pump due to the size of the motors.  Let me know what you have.   Thanks,   John
