lily 5 Posted June 3 I have a friend who is interested in fishing for crappie and such and he asked me if there were any in cayuga up on the north end. I have never fished for anything but trout and salmon so I couldn't really help him. I know there are perch and bass in the lake and the normal sunfish but does cayuga have much of a crappie population. Thanks. Good luck Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-T337A using Lake Ontario United mobile app
Zebedee 8 Posted June 3 It does...in the spring they are often caught off the shore. Many fish for them from Cayuga Lake State Park. I have never fished for crappie this time of year but I would assume they still prefer structure just a little deeper?

Pequod1 19 Posted June 5 I think he will be about a month late. I have not fished for them but I know people that have done really well in the north end. There are plenty of other panfish to keep him busy though. Also, way too many pickerel and bass.
