Size 1 @ 4 and eight inch is the “standard” size in a dipsy.  The slide diver is also a number 1 and it is a bit smaller than a Lahr Jensen dipsy.  Width are w/o rings.

After years of use with about all of them I settled on the 124 mm Deeper Divers as my main "go to" for late Spring/Summer, and Fall use.  They approximate 2 to 1 ratio for letting out wire and in some cases (slow speeds) about 1 1/2 to 1 ratio. I have had them bang bottom in 155 ft of water in the past:lol:

#3 Chinook diver in the spring, and #5 rest of the season.  Once the release is dialed in, those things are aweome.

    • Clip-on Dipsey Diver Technique

So I happened to see this technique on a YouTube video a couple weeks ago, not sure if it's news to ppl here or not. But I figured I'd give a quick review of my first run with it yesterday. So on my wire diver setups, I tied on 30ft (you could do longer if you wanted) of 65lb braid and then a 10ft flouro leader to the end of the wire. Then you attach red OR-16 heavy releases (ones with the pin in the middle) to the front and back of the dispey diver. You attach the dipsey to the braid (double wr

    • Different brands of divers

Hey all,   I was on a charter on O this past weekend (had a GREAT trip). I forgot to ask the mate, but I noticed that the divers they were using weren't the usual Luhr-Jensen Dipsy's. These appeared to be a black, ?steel? disk with a few different holes to clip into from the main line that were either left or right of center. I'm guessing that has the same effect as turning the disc on the bottom of a "regular" Dipsy?? Anyway, I was just wondering if anyone knew what these were. I'm ju
