Lost boat key

I am trying to help an older couple in my neighborhood sell their boat before they move to Florida. I went over last night to check it out. They can’t find the key. Any idea where they can get a key for a 1984 Starcraft boat? Do they call Starcraft or a local boat place? Or even a locksmith? I want to help them but with no key it will be hard to sell.

Change out the ignition, and the locks is an easy and fairly inexpensive task.  A locksmith will cost a lot more!

Why not just put a new one in? We left the key home one time went to an auto parts store and installed it in their parking lot.
