wayne Wayne County Fishing Report for August 6, 2019

Recommended Posts

Lake Ontario- It’s summer fishing for the kings and the bite continues. Sunday it was a north-east blow which is never a good thing. The lake flipped with 48 degree temps at 50 feet.

But…the kings are still hitting.

Charters are trolling straight out of Sodus Bay and working water 100 to 80 feet down 50 feet. The salmon like the meat rigs and flasher flies.

Don’t forget the LOC fall Derby, where you can net a whooping $25,000 for a Grand Prize salmon. The derby runs August 16 through September 2nd. No NYS fishing license is needed for the Fall Derby. The website is www.loc.org.

    • Legacy -The 2019 Season-

Well I thought I would get an early start on this thread this year. Normally I dont start this thread until after Labor Day but I'm starting to see a ton of deer cam pics from people and the 2019 "hunting" talk has started. 2018 ended for me with a bit of disappointment. I had my opportunities but never connected. One of the biggest changes for this year was to invest in my firearms. With all the time i put in the woods it was apparent I needed to ensure my equipment wouldnt fail me. I purchased

    • Fishing Tackle HUGE selection

    • Kring point fishing

I’m headed to Kring point Wednesday for 6 days. I’ve never been there before but I’ve read almost everything I can find on fishing up there. I was planning on just fishing in the bay that’s there but I read somewhere that it’s overwhelmed with weeds this time of year? Basically I’m just looking to catch anything that I can put in the cooler, pike, perch, if I’m lucky maybe come walleye or crappie. Anyone have any input, tips? Thanks.
