Lake trout taxidermy

Recommended Posts

First catch of the season! Anybody know a good taxidermist that is open? And any advice on preserving it until I take him in? He’s wrapped in a wet towel laid flat in the freezer right now. Thanks in advance!

How big? Great fish, good for you!

Weighed him with an old fish scale I had and it said 22 then weighed him when I got home on a good scale and he was 25

Beautiful mounts Gambler👍

Thanks!  I have three more at the taxidermist now.  I have my buck, a 19lb brown and a big crappie.  The Brown should be done this week!

Looking forward to seeing that brown. Post a pic when you get it please.

I will Kevin.  It is going to dwarf the one I have on the wall now.

I've had good luck with Streeter out of Ontario ny. He did my 23 lb laker, and I'm very pleased. His rates are very affordable.

Anglers choice fish mounts does phenomenal work, but is more expensive. You get what you pay for, to be sure.
