Oneida walleye

My buddy just bought a house right by Oneida lake. I’ve never fished it for walleye, but I wanna take him out there in late May/early June. Any advice on what depth the fish are usually holding in that time of year, and some tactics that work out there, would be greatly appreciated. He is on the east side of the lake. Thanks
