Can any one tell me the number of the mercruiser service manual I will need for a 1982 4 cylinder 185 HP. Want to get the actual service manual not an aftermarket.

I think #6 for the Alpha 1 and #26 for the engine. You can find them online.

Your right on with #6 for the drive Lost, but his early 3.7L/185hp  I'm pretty sure is manual #8. It covers most of the different variations of the 3.7's of that vintage.

 

Depending on serial# manual #3 might touch on it too but not as detailed as 8  **

Switching out a 170 for a 185.

Interesting weekend went really smooth a lot of switching out parts.

Only thing that didn't switch over was the fuel pump, Ernst marina had one in stock but
