Oak Orchard Boat Launch

Considering fishing out of oak orchard but have never launched there before. Can anyone give me some advice regarding the launch? For instance; it is easy access, what time does it open, any special nuances? I will probably get there around 6am Tuesday morning

 Careful with your downriggers with the poles at the end of the dock.

Oak has 2 launches , east side is free has about room for 15 or so trailers if the idiots don't park cars in the trailer parking. The ramp is good, it's easy to launch and load perfect straight back in and pitch is about perfect. It's open 24 hours.

The west side is NY state run so you have to pay, and also a really good ramp had tons of parking but is a little walk to get from parking to ramp.. it's like a 250 yard walk from the closest parking spot. It is not normally as busy and has more room for staging and backing up. Also open 24 hours.

Thanks all for the advice. We launched out of the state park ramp and had fun this morning fishing. 3 or 4 Kings and 4 steelhead. Only fished about 3 hours due to the weather.
