Sandy afternoon with Coyote K

Recommended Posts

Did the afternoon run with Ken and Brandon . Ran out to 200 and headed north . After losing the probe and weight 5 minutes in , we trudged on .

Anyway , we were 3 for 7 hits . 3 kings , one skip.

Gary D rigs w/ white flashers  on dipsey  At 150 and 189 were the ticket taking 5 of the 7 hits . Ended the night with a double   . I dropped two nice fish .

Awesome night on the water .

Nice to go on someone else's boat and be successful on my rig

Ball was going down and it was just gone .

Sometimes the cable crosses over on the spool .

The cannon riggers are so fast I think when it hit that it jumped and snapped the cable .

Why do the riggers of today have to be so fast ? People have no patience .

We had precisely the same thing happen earlier this year. Luckily, I'd traded a custom rod to Misdemeanor for a spare probe, and we were right back in the game. Still, that's too many subtroll probes donated to the goddess Lady O (three or four in fifteen years). No more. My wife bought me a new X4D for my birthday next week, so the coated cable will go bye-bye. And that should make it easier to see issues with the wire. I hope.

Exactly why I have stuck with the Mag 10 A's all these years. I know they have some real limitations but after using other folks high speeds I don't care for that feature. I know.....I'm a dinosaur:smile:

I agree downriggers are too fast I'm pretty sure that's exactly how I lost my last downrigger ball

I can tell you this .

It is the hottest new Bait for King Salmon on Lake Ontario now IMO .  It's pretty much  all I use now . I would not want to be without it . And that's  the truth .

And hopefully by next spring if things go well .........

But if too many people use it there won’t be any big kings left.
After all, look at what two face glow has already done to the population.
