My son Billy went for a walk at one of the leases today. Looks like the big momma doe in our yard will get a pass for the rest of the year!IMG_3935.jpeg

Was in the same exact situation earlier on in the "pandemic".....mine is a nurse she got it at work. She quarantined upstairs I lived downstairs for 14 days... Temp checks twice a day for us both. Everyday I had to send our recordings to the DOH. I did laundry and only went upstairs in a tyvek suit and exam gloves and full headgear lol......it will get better man it's only temporary ! I'm not a big praying guy and honestly I don't even know you but I'll shoot a few out for you and your wife as well

My season is put on hold. My wife has tested Positive for COVID and she has it bad. Just about every symptom. She was and has been the most cautious and careful about this and it blows our mind how or where she got it. I’m on contact quarantine for 14 days now. I will be released on the 15th. I will hunt muzzleloader for the first time ever this year.

I enjoy reading this thread as it “lets me live” through all of you while I’m stuck inside.

Look forward to all the stories and be safe everyone

‘Bout Time
Mike

My brother and I used to be like that. Now, I'm more like Manimal from the Muppets.

Spent midday today at the range with my kid and the muzzleloaders. Shot both the old and the new and Im confident that they both are shooting well. Looking forward to the late season with my kid!

"Old" Muzzleloader

Traditions LT Pursuit

Bushnell Scope

100 Grains Triple 7 pellets

TC Shock Wave .50 caliber 250 grain sabot

Winchester/ Triple 7 standard 209 primers

"New" Muzzleloader

CVA Accura v2

Leupold VX-Freedom Muzzleloader 3-9x40 Scope

95 grains Blackhorn 209

Barnes Spit-Fire TMZ .50 caliber 250 grain sabot

CCI Magnum 209 primers

Very different guns and very similar results on the range but without a doubt I prefer the CVA.

“Dad I just shot a big one, he’s rolling around in the field. I just shot him two more times, I hope he dies soon I’m out of slugs!”
Happy kid and his brother shows up to help. His biggest by far, great stuff.
