Coyotes and Deer

A good buddy hunted Farmington yesterday and had two different yotes chasing two different bucks 2.5 yr olds at different times. If that is going on now imagine what happens in the spring. Better yet what about winter. No wonder many people including myself are not seeing numbers of deer like in the past. I don’t care what the state says I have personally seen numbers dwindle in the last 3-5years and I hunt some of the best areas. Had to get off my shoulders

I don’t know why dec doesn’t allow spring coyote season or year round.. I see at least one coyote every time I turkey hunt and you could easily call them in with a fawn call

They’re a lot of fun to hunt after deer season.
So many ways to bring them to you.
Like anything else just giving it a try is how it starts.
We killed 12 last year in the bait pile alone.

Harvested a buck today. Dropped 10 yds from my stand. Waited 20 min. As i was getting down saw a yote about 75 yds away making a b- line for my deer. He made it about 25 more steps. Couldn’t believe how quickly that yote was on the job. Beautiful coat.
