Trailerable Boat Covers

What are the qualities and who makes a good quality cover for an 18 ft Alumacraft.  It must be able to go down the road without flopping around. My experience with straps and plastic buckles is they aren't strong enough to keep from coming unfastened.   I'm willing to pay for something that works well.

Thanks for any advice.

Canvas Concepts 11 Buttonwood Dr. Hilton NY 17yrs exp.  Out of the way for you, but, quality work, fair price. Trailering covers are more expensive than mooring ones. I was quoted a 1/2 cover for an 19.5 Islander, windshield to transom ~ 950.00

John Mann made my cover this past fall. Super guy, great quality, great price. Should have done it years ago. Trailers beautifully. The key is it fastens down with snaps along the side and has a drawstring to pull the cover tight around the boat. It uses bows for support, not poles, so they don't fall over. Its also really heavy fabric. Mine is a 16ft boat for size comparison.

Conneaut Canvas in Conneautville PA.  Hands down best cover I have ever seen.  Think it’s $550ish for 18’ boat with integral fleece lined motor cover.

May be a drive for you but boat will be done in 2-3 days and no one will beat the quality.

They’ve now done 5 for me.  Latest was a Fishmaster 196 and it was $6xx out the door with two fleece lined motor covers.
