Went up for the shakedown trip, my son and I.

Tried the Fair Haven state launch , the wind blew all the ice chunks into the launch and froze over night.

So we went west in search of a launch , didnt make out to good to launch a 20 ft aluminum, water way to low.

As luck would have it someone hooked us up with a private launch saturday.

So we hit the lake about 1:30 finally , first 5 minutes had a hit on a shallow board towing a LS bayrat, off before we could do anything.

Over the next fewhours we managed 4 nice browns , 10,8,7,7 pounds.

Mix of bay rats on boards and spoons on the rigger.

Caught in 10-16 fow

Great to be out , hopefully the water level will come up soon .

Not sure where you mean the ramp next to channel? Next to Barneys was bad low.

Well as for ice, when we went back on sunday the ice had blown into where we launched saturday. Wasnt much but was a line say about a 20 yard strip of the chunks that refreeze that night .

If you had a jon boat you would of been fine but I didnt . Would scratched up my aluminum.. And who knows if it would of been more when we got back had we gone .

Warm this week so?
