Daiwa Saltist Discontinued

Any updates on when the new saltist will be available. They have been taken off fishusa

I called them a couple of weeks ago and they said it would be mid to late March before they were available at retail stores.

Just want to check back and see if anybody knows of any updates on when these will be available?

I have 6 reels orders from different shops. All have missed expected stock days, my last hope is MIDWAY USA. Told me June 5.

I also have several ordered from 2 online dealers, original ship date was April. Ship dates keep pushing. My Midway USA order originally said mid May. That has also pushed to June 5th. I have seen a few model 20 and model 50 on a some random sites. Amazon had a few as well.

I emailed Daiwa a few weeks ago and it doesn't look good for anytime soon. Supply chain issues. I originally contacted them in November when they were supposed to be released and they told me January. I've since emailed 2 more times and it keeps getting pushed back. Last email said maybe June. I got tired of waiting and bought 2 Penn Fathom II. Same price and I got them, although stock looks low on them as well. Very nice reel. Spooled them up for wire divers. Hopefully they hold up good. Nice smooth drags and a decent gear ratio.

I have them headed my way. Probably wont get a change to run them this weekend, but plan to next weekend.

Any feedback on these reels that anyone would like to share?  I’m looking for some for wire diver reels so a smooth drag is a must for me.
