Braid on Downriggers

I would like to get some opinions on running braid on my canon downriggers. I have stx mag 10s. Was wondering will the auto stop work. And what size braid would i go with? Thanks

My Mag 5 needs the wire so that the electric current is disrupted once it hits the surface of the water stopping the reel. If yours is like mine the answer is no for the auto stop feature.

Auto stop will not work if you switch to braid.
