Talk to 2 charter captain today a between the 2 of them there total catch was 67 fish between them 1 boat was running spoon the other stick baits sounds like it good up and down the lake.

Thinking for heading up there rather Tuesday or next Tuesday! Are the docks in at the state launch yet? If not where would be a good place to but in at? I have a 22ft starcraft Islander.......

yes the docks are in at the pulic launch on route 14 plus the dock are in at the coast guard area to so you have alot of launch plus abes tackle shop has a launch to so come on up and have alot of fun at the point

I've never fished out of sodus and am thinking to give it a try. On the new maps I don't see where the launch sites are. Which ones are better? Can anyone give me some directions.

You can launch at rt 14 and Margaretta rd. There is a state launch there. You may be able to launch at in the point at Abes tackle shop in the point. He is straight across the ball field from the pit stop gas station. Im not sure if you can still launch at the coast gaurd station which is on the west side of the channel.

Just a heads up about the coast guard launch, which is all the way out at the breakwall. The conrete is old and has a lip between two joints. if your boat is heavy and you have a trailer with crossmebers that dip down the front one will hit the lip on the way out. I actually sheared off a 7/16 dimaeter bolt one day. to avoid this leave your boat back on the trailer, a few feet from the front stop. The weight will be back causing the front crossmember to ride higher. Once you clear it, you can crank all the way on.

Also, one of these days i am going to take my own saw and trim that tree that has grabbed a few of my rods on the hardtop.

went out this morning and managed 3 in the boat lost 1 and had a couple misses(browns-biggest was 7lbs).All shallow 5-10fow maxwell area.Try again sat.
