I purchased an impeller kit and it came without a lower housing gasket. It did have a thin ss plate just like the missing gasket. Do I use it like a gasket. Is this an upgrade? Thank you

I was able to get the provider to address the issue. They have replaced the gasket next to the lower drive with a metal shim plate. This is intended to keep that gasket from blowout. You just put it on with gasket compound on both sides. I have had that blowout two years ago. I am liking this improvement. [emoji1696]
