A few helicopters dipping in the bay and dropping water on the trees near the park. Hope its just practice.

Yep they were lowering a big water bucket down and filling it up. They would fly south and dump it and return and repeat. I was just coming back from getting blown off the lake and stopped to watch for a few minutes. It was pretty cool.

It was training with the local fire department and NYS forest rangers

Glad to see we have those resources and they practice.

Sure hope the dead ash/standing firewood goes away without a fire.

Hate to be like the west coast and other areas of the world or would we be worse with all the dead dried vertical firewood?
