Im heading up to association island next week. Looking for some help. Is there salmon to target close by? Walleye? I normally fish lake Erie walleye and fish Olcott and Wilson for Salmon few times a year. Will be using a boat and rigged for trolling.

Salmon ,Walleye,Browms and Lakers are all within a 10-20minute ride from the cut. If your boat is smaller you can be productive relatively close to shore from association to the lighthouse outside the cut. And there are fish inside the bay if the wind gets blowing. Bill saiff outdoors has a facebook page and he does a decent job describing current conditions and what they are catching and sometimes where.

Fished out there yesterday. 130-150’ near calf island we got browns, lakers, steel, and shaker kings. Big kings are there just not for me. Tried some skinny water for walleyes but the fleas were terrible in shallow and I was not marking. Got the steel/brown up high on lead and lakers/shakers ~100’ on riggers.
