7/15. Trolled in 130-150 off the ledge in the afternoon/ evening. Caught 2 kings, one 21 and one 14. Both on a flasher fly 90 down on the rigger. Also caught a nice laker on the same thing.

7/16. fished with my buddy Dylon and got started early for the morning bite. Got a case of rubber hooks and lost two kings at the side of the boat. Fish were scattered. Caught some jack kings in 150, one teenager in 140, browns in 110 anddd 150. Definitely didn’t have the bait life/ larger marks as the night before. Still a a gorgeous day. Bites were mostly on flasher/flies and black/silver spoons. All bites were down 85-115 down with the exception of a king that decided to knock a dipsey spoon in 70 fow, go figure..

overall good fishing..can’t complain when you get home and fire up the smoker.

Tight lines.

What size boat are you running?  Just curious as we fished Henderson Bay in mid May and really wanted  to try the area you fished, but weather was horrible…even inside the bay.  We have a Tracker GV-16 Laker DLX…16ft LOA with 6’2” beam powered by Mercury 25 EFT 4-stroke tiller outboard.

Yep we just couldn’t get a weather break the week we were there.

Headed to Seneca Lake for 3 weeks starting Tuesday… hope to score some nice LL salmon, Lakers, Rainbows, and maybe get lucky with some Browns.

Keep on keeping on and tight lines!!

Sorry MH…wasn’t there Friday night we were at Henderson Bay May 14-21…although there were a couple of hardtops that appeared to be chartering  in and out of Henderson Harbor.  We did good on Browns when we could get out and I landed a nice small mouth albeit out of season, but the walleye bite was no where to be found due to an unusually cold spring.

Keep on keeping on!!!

It was a good night.  Very few boats out there which was super nice opposed to the fiasco Saturday morning. At one point there was probably 20 boats trolling the same line. Better fishing was definitely Friday.
