  1. Discount marine in port Byron does a good job.... Wayne murray is his name. Reasonable prices too Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  2. Yes there are also lake trout in there. And though they have seemed to be few and far between as of recent years the brown trout in the lake have reached great size if you can hook into one. Believe it or not owasco once boasted the state record for brown trout, a 21lb 5oz brown caught in may of 1957. And just a couple years ago one weighing 22lb 8oz was caught there on Memorial Day Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  3. A segment of 5 colors of leadcore fished off a board with a bright orange spoon has out fished everything else from a rainbow standpoint Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  4. Been getting some great rainbow action lately on bright colored spoons fished off lead core line and riggers. Been Parkin the riggers right around the thermocline and they've showed up each and every time I'm out Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  5. I have the same problem my phone freezes occasionally on this app Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  6. Looking to get a trout mounted. Have had other fish done in the past but looking for someone who's just starting out or something who may do it cheaper? Anyone know Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  7. Yeah around 90 FOW seemed to be a good average depth for us today. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  8. Indeed it is, the fish are quite plump this season too might I add. They're just gorging themselves on alewives down there Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  9. Started trolling early on around 545 am or so. Ran 3 rigger lines near bottom with spoons, two wire divers, a 10 color leadcore rig on a board and a 300' copper down the chute. We went 12/13 on lake trout ranging all from 21"-29" and then one real small shaker. Marked a lot of bait up high (40ft from surface) but it didn't seem as if there were many fish in it considering all the fish we caught were in the bottom 30 ft of the water column. All fish caught on spoons and 2 were caught on a flasher/fly rig Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  10. Is the fish finder sold? Shoot me a text. 315-399-6450 Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  11. Ohhhh really?! What kind of boat do you have? I was in my tracker. Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  12. I meant p-line not plunge Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  13. Yes I noticed the morning bite was quick and ended around 745 or so then picked back up around 9am for about a half hour. The season can be frustrating particularly because of the fleas that accumulate on your line. I have found the using a very thick (At least 30lb test) monofilament on the downrigger rods has seemed to keep them off rather well. Then just leader down to your normal leader you would use. I like plunge fluorocarbon 10lb test Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  14. Fished both morning and afternoon on owasco and marked a lot of bait high in the water column and fished the east side in 120 FOW or so. Took 7 lakers in the morning with one nice one measuring 31" and the evening produced 4 more lakers and a small rainbow. Bright colored spoons did the trick. 300' copper rig produced half of the fish caught Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
  15. When I'm trolling on owasco I usually run the Michigan stinger spoons primarily as I have found those to work best for me. The scorpion size which is their smallest size has produced over the years on the riggers while the normal standard stingers (3 3/4) have worked well on all other trolling applications I use such as leadcore, dipsy divers and copper line. Hot colors on this lake are greens and purples for me Sent from my iPhone using Lake Ontario United
