    ==================

    Hello fellow Anglers. This is a great site. Everyone seems to be very friendly, and informative. Which is a good thing. I have done lots of fishing, but it was always with my Dad. He passed away this past Feb. So now I am going to be using his camp. I also have taken over ownership of his boat, the Sea Nymph. I am not very well educated on using the downriggers. Never had a chance to use them with him all that much. I know the basics, but I can tell that this site will be a little more informative as far as helping me out. I mostly fish off shore from the cabin, using a 14ft. deep v crestline with a 9.9 Merc on the back. Works sufficient for goin for Bass, but not something I like takin into the deeper waters, but does save the cost of a launch, as I launch it from shore.

    Hello again to all, and I look forward to sharing mine and your experiences together.

  2. Me and my buddy were fishing for browns all along Ford Shoals on Sunday, and today. We were trying to for browns. But, since they didn't want to cooperate we started tryin for whatever we could find. We only had the 14ft. So we were working every depth from 8-40 fow. We had no luck. Tried every combination from speed, depth, weight, bait, drifting, and trolling. The only thing we managed to reel in was a decent Smallmouth in about 8 fow in front of gull rock. Lots of work, luckily the weather was nice this morning

  3. Hey there everyone. Just joined the site, seems really good so far. Traveling man- We have a cabin right by ford shoals, so that's where I am usually fishing. What kind of depth, speed, and bait do you normally use when going for Browns? The cabin used to be my Dads, but he died Feb. I've never done much brown fishing, and would like to get a better handle of it.
