I'm so sorry for your loss! I feel your pain brother! I just lost my wife and best friend last September we were married for 39 wonderful years. The healing process is not easy for sure ,every evening I stare accrost the room wishing she was still here with me. I have found friends and family have been the best therapy for me.

He was 38 yrs. old
 

Bill was my BF back in the day we hunted and fished alot together when he was alive. Now i fish with his sun Brandon all the time. They sure do look alike!

Yep Bill, l saw a guy last week over the pad with a good sized trailer , and boy was he burning rubber trying to get it out. I didn't stick around to see how he made out. We backed my trailer in and could see the pad clearly and stopped a foot before the curb at the end. There was plenty of water to load her on with a little power loading to assist aswell.

We fished for 2 hours before pulling the Coyote K out late morning today. Fished 90-120 fow hooked this beautiful male on a 100 diver with a crome and green ff. Sure didn't want to pull her so early but the water is getting really low. I also saw a sign at the launch that they are closing sandy ramp 9/20

Great morning aboard the Coyote K. I took a hunting buddy out salmon fishing for his first time and boy did he come back tired ! We fished mainly 100-150fow riggers parked at 50 55 60and 95 wires were 200- 220. Biggest kings were 22.5 and 23 lbs and some decent lakers as well.

Left Launch around 5:15am set up 150 fow NW troll to 350fow 225 to 250 was best 2 good kings,steelhead and a bunch of shakers. Pulled rods around 9am and ran west of Devils nose fished 80 fow to 100 headed back east to the mouth with a bunch of Browns and a giant Lake trout 35lbs coming to the net. Fun memorable day had by all.

Congrats! Awsome fish! I really have a great respect for a giant laker. I started my fishing career in Henderson Harbor when lakers were the only trout to be caught around there 45 yrs ago. I'm sure a fish like that had to make it through a lot of hard times.

I almost lost a cannon rigger over board one day . I was using cannon pedestal swivel baces and the bolt that they swivel on broke. I was lucky I tie the ball retrieval line to the inside of the boat and hauled it in and got the ball back too. Now I use the low profile stainless swivels on a fixed pedestal and they work just fine.

One hell of a run! Took this guy from the far side of Kendall and stopped him before he jumped the sandy creek in hamlin. Almost a 10 mile track and the hounds were flat out all the way. What a blast!

There was some great music coming from my hounds last weekend. The calm weather provided some good tracking on the hounds part. The silver coyote I took running 50 yds in front of the hounds at 175 yards,it was a couple hour chase. Whaler do you recognize that one? He was heading straight for the park and didn't make it, only one more road to cross lol.

Another fantastic year we had on Agony Hill. I harvested a nice buck with the bow and In a clinch at the end of muzzeloder took a beautiful 21" inside spread buck. Also a special treat was a good friend from Alaska took a good 10 pt with the crossbow. QDM rules!

We fished this morning mostly in 180 fow also flew out to 460 fow, best screen was under 200, offshore there were very few fish marked and no bites. Managed 2 kings one was real dark and dropped the scale down to 27lbs. That one came on a diver with a chrome ff out 180 and the other was a rigger bite with a green skirt spoon down 75. Beautiful morning on the lake for sure!

I still have some nice bucks hammering my brassica at one of larger plots on Agony Hill. I can't believe there is much left there to eat im getting over 3000 pics in just a couple of weeks.

Great running weather the last two days. The hounds have been running balls to the wall. Plenty of fur to be had! Sure got us old guys tired out and the hounds as well!

Never hunted with dogs. Is it normal that they circle around to where things started ? Or do they just run in a straight line to get away from the dogs ?

Good question! Some times if you don't bang away at them in a block they will run around in tight circles and you will get to see them many of times in front of the hounds and other times if they get shot at in a block they will travel to the next county. No kidding! We have started them in kendall Orleans county kilt them in Hilton monroe county before.
