i wanna fish for bass in conesus before the pike opener, but i want to use a leader to prevent loosing lures. would DEC give a problem over that?...I mean....i'm fishing for bass, I can't help what bites.????

heading out to Conesus this weekend. gonna fish the south end from my kayak. Anyone been out there lately, how's the bite?

I'm heading up to Old Forge this weekend. Has anyone fished the moose river, or 1st, 2nd or 3rd lakes??? I was curious if there was any good bass fishing in that area.

I know there are bass up there, but was just wondering if anyone had any info to share...........thanks.

I"m gonna be up around Ogendsuburg on the St. Lawrence and would like to hook up some pike. Just wondering if anyone has some info if they're hitting, depths to find them and tackle suggestions. thanks

you cant go bass fishing without spinner or buzz baits. white or black. topwater lures! cant beat the explosions!!

of course.......i was talking about baits to use while the water is still fairy cold.....

i'm no pro but.....pre-spawn activity should start when the water temp is in the high 40's, low 50's. Bass should be looking for high calorie foods, so jig and pigs or craws worked slow should be good. Lake ontario is still around 39 degrees, i've been fishing in some ponds and they're around 45 degrees or so....alittle bit more warm weather and the bite should be on.

Does the wetland area south of conesus lake hold any largemouths?? anyone ever put a canoe or kayak in there?

Is Sandy Creek (near Hamlin, NY) free of ice?? including the boat launch area??

Anyone know where i can put a Kayak into Long Pond....besides off the side of the expressway?

Anyone out there have any favorite spots for early spring bass fishing. I live near rochester, so i'm hoping to find a few close go-to spots. (irondequoit, braddack, mendon, casey park...etc.)
