Thanks Gambler!
Never fished out of either Olcott or Wilson. Any recommendations on places to stay?

For Memorial Day weekend, would you recommend fishing at Fair Haven for brown trout, or Oak Orchard for king salmon, lake trout and brown trout?
Any reports or suggestions you could provide would be greatly appreciated! I have to trailer my boat over 300 miles to get to either Fair Haven or Oak Orchard.
We caught several brown trout at Fair Haven last weekend, including a 10 pounder. Trying to make an educated decision for Memorial Day weekend fishing. Thank you!

==================
Hello,
Until now I have been primarily a saltwater fisherman in Chesapeake and Delaware bays. I am new to Lake Ontario, having only fished it several times during the past two years. We will be making our first brown trout trip ever May 14-17 to Fair Haven.
I am looking forward to learning a lot more on LOU about how to successfully troll for salmon and trout, and how to catch smallmouth bass and other species that are also available.
I also have much to learn about how to use and navigate LOU.
Good luck this season!

I too recommend Captain's Cove.
