  1. I run my own charter on the north shore, personally I don't expect a tip. I work hard to make my clients day everything they thought it would be when they decided to spend their hard earned money with me. Odds are they never received a tip for doing their job... However if someone feels that the services I have provided deserve a little extra, I will gladly take it lol!

As far as your trip you treated the mate extremely fair, and he should be very happy with what he received, the captain should also be grateful for the little extra.

I wouldn't complain if you have lumpy pillows or run out of toilet paper on the next trip though lol!!!

As stated previously, a tip should not be expected by a captain, if you want more money charge more. Having said that most mates do what they do for very little $ and do it because they love it! A little extra $$$ goes a long way in making their day.

I have a full canvas hard top available made of 1 1/2 and 2 in aluminum, it has 8 rod holders up top, as well as two planer board rod holders on each rear leg, and a dipsy diver rod holder mounted on each rear leg. The Legs can be modified to custom fit your boat and your needs. I sold my Lund Pro V which it was designed for but it would look great on your rig too. It takes a normal aluminum boat and turns it into an extreme great lakes sport boat ten times stronger than any bimini out there!. I can e-mail you pictures if your interested.

  4. Howitzer

If your poppin browns your likely too slow to trigger bigger kings as well as fishing too warm of water, thats not too say that your doing anything wrong but based on my experience. Im not sure what depths your fishing but ya gotta find the cooler water. Browns like it warmer, have a look at a species temp chart and you'll see. I'm no pro buddy but thats just my two cents hope it helps check out the surface temp maps on the site.

    Good luck and tight lines!
