  1. Went with a different mount, brand new save some money, new they are $135/ piece. $200 for both

Traxstech's swivel mounts allow you to strategically position your downrigger and other fishing equipment in our track system. Our swivel pedestals are compatible with most brands of downriggers including Vector, Cannon, Fishlander, Big Jon, Scotty, Penn and Walker. Traxstech's swivel bases feature a pre-drilled and tapped aluminum top plate that makes it easy to mount your downrigger. Removing your fishing equipment is easy, simply loosen the thumb screws, slide your boating accessories out of the track and your boat has a nice clean look.

  3. PIkeFn -

There are definitely Skis in Black Lake but as most have said they are sparse. I have seen a few in my 20yrs fishing the lake and they were huge. The lake has great bass fishing smallmouth and largemouth and te pike fishing can be unreal at times, as one guy said grab a hotspots map and go nuts. If you like to crappie fish to you can certainly get into a mess of them sometimes as well.

    Good luck , tight lines

  4. Sorry for the late update. Well we tried to fish Chazy for 2 days and were served a large piece of humble pie. Managed one Laker  26" and a few perch, did get a bunch of smelt though. Beautiful place tough fishing. Hit Champlain and Chateagay Lakes, did ok on perch and a few toothy critters but nothing to write home about, but good adventure and got to explore some more bodies of water... Thank god for good friends and cold beverages...

    Tight lines...

  5. My buddies and I are taking our annual trip and have decided to try Chazy Lake and surrounding area. Just wondering if there are any good bait shops up that way that way. Will take any advice for Chazy/ Chateaugay lakes or even Champlain. Gonna try for some perch/lakers/wwolves. Got a spot to get on at Chazy. Any good, safe spots to get on Chat? Thanks for any help.

Also, any suggestions on jiggin lakers, I have the general idea just curious on line size and rod length preferred?

Thanks again any help is appreciated
