  1. I have 4 Big John downriggers for sale.

They all have dual rod holders and 40" booms. the auto stop setup is included plus a lot of extra parts I purchased as spares.

They all work except 1 of them will need a motor rebuild sometime in the near future.

I recall paying in excess of $2000.00 for everything about 10 yrs ago.

I live in PA, I fish Lake Ontario and use them about 5-10 days a yr.

I will be coming up soon to fish for Browns ( Planer boards), probably launch out of Fairhaven...

If interested please call me at 484-350-6569.

  3. Geez, so much negativity........ The salmon in Lake Ontario are bigger than they are in any of the other Great Lakes.

The Lake suffered a knock out punch from the zebra mussel and overall the DEC is doing a good job, I think the bigger fish are still slow to start staging.... I hardly think a 31.11 fish is going to win the derby, Catch the drift caught a 35.3 fish but isn't in it

  4. If interested please message me,

All of my fishing buddies are busy and the conditions look ideal to fish this weekend.
I will be getting a slip at Wrights landing.

     I have a 21 ft Trophy
I would prefer a mate on a charter boat of course, but someone experienced handling a boat would be acceptable.
An honest, respectable non-smoker is acceptable...
I don't mean to offend anyone that smokes but I get serious headaches from just being around cigarette smoke ever since I quit smoking...
Please message me if you are interested.

    Thanks

  5. I've been fishing the lake for more than 20 years. I own a 21ft trophy with the right equipment necessary to catch fish.

  6. Looking for someone to fish with this weekend on my boat. It's a 21 ft Trophy. Rigged with all the bells and whistles. I've been fishing the lake for 20+ years. Al of my friends are busy this weekend and the conditions look great to fish... Overcast and light winds!

I will be getting a slip and launch out of Oswego.

I'm looking for someone with plenty of experience fishing the lake, a mate on a charter would be ideal. Someone respectful, ( non-smoker preferred ) I would like to fish Sat, Sun and Mon...

  7. I purchased the boat used 4 yrs ago and outfitted it for fishing the great lakes, it includes 4 Big John downriggers, 2 Big John planer board masts, Thermo troll with a new style probe and an old style that still works fine, a Ray Jefferson Marine radio, a Cd/AM FM radio, a Hummingbird 998C-si combo sonar/gps with the side scan feature, 2 fairly new batteries and a Scottys black box.

The name of the boat is Bad Influence, I fished Mexico Bay and out in front of the Salmon river  last yr in the fall a few times, so if you recognize the name you might remember the boat

Includes a Load rite trailer that was completely rebuilt 3 yrs ago.

The boat with all of the gear and rebuilt trailer I have invested more than 15.000.00 not including all the labor to rebuild the trailer.

I'm asking 13.000.00. The boat will be taken out of storage this weekend and I will post pictures to the add as soon as I can.

Unfortunately I'm forced to sell it due to financial hardship.

I can be reached at 484-350-6569

    Thanks for looking.

  8. Hi Reel silver, I just read your post after all this time, I'm pretty sure the rod holder didn't fall off, they were all put on with a loctite type product, I thought the same so I tried to unscrew one of them and couldn't, I would have needed a pipe wrench, and you're right about them just wanting the rod holder also, they could have taken my sonar, fish hawk and lots of much more valuable gear than just the rod holder.

  9. Over the past weekend while fishing out of Mexico someone took a Weber charcoal grill out of the back of my pickup. I have had nothing but bad experiences with theft and dealing with lower forms of life this year, 3 weeks ago I had a rod holder stolen off if my boat at Clark's marina so I thought it would be a better choice to put in at Mexico, I would love to see the persons arrested and prosecuted for the crimes, I can afford the loss, it's more about principle. If anyone knows anything about it or witnessed anything please let me know. What J Plug did is very admirable, my hat is off to you sir.

  10. I was up again this weekend and stayed away as far from Miss Stake as possible. The post about the idiot blocking everyone from launching at the lighthouse and his foul mouth comes as no surprise to me, I think it's just a matter of time until someone sets him straight, and only a total moron would pay 20 grand to keep their boat docked at the lighthouse, I'm sure a slip there for a boat his size isn't more than 1200 a season

  11. Hey Yankee Troller, my guess is that he doesn't even know what a website is or is smart enough to use a computer.

I'm still fuming from the episode the other day, I'll be going back up again over Labor day weekend and will be launching out of another port, I'll probably fish the same place.

If it happens again it will all be on video and reported to the coast guard.

I have a question Buzzer, is this the same guy?
