  1. I have had the privledge of fishing ginna since the early 80's. It is a great fishery! Yes we had our "hay days" in the current for sure.Back in the day we would stop in at the plant and get a day pass to fish the current. The guards were always courtious and would pan the lake with the security cameras to check the lake conditions.Safety was and is always paramount when fishing lake o. esp. late winter early spring.Although 9-11 changed our access to the current we understand those intakes must be safeguarded! As previously stated you can still do well while obeying the LAW! It saddens me to think the actions of some who want to '' push the envelope'' could compromise a great area to fish! Some times laws and rules do not always make sence ,but they must be adheared to.Please try to excerise more restraint and obey the rules so that the future of fishing here is available for our children and grandchildren! All of us share moral obligation to be ambassadors of the sport we love and cherrish!

  2. It's A real shame the "non-hunting" population of New York fail to see the real benefit of responsible hunters, both ecnomicly and more importantly environmentally.Conduct like this only further perpetuates the negative perception of hunters and the sport of hunting in genreal. We all need to be good "AMBASSADORS" of the sport. It is a real shame we are judged by incidents such as this! One bad apple! I hope these individuals loose the privillege to hunt forever! A privillage that many of us cherrish and stive to pass down to future generations.

  3. As Shark Hunter already reported,we got an early start.Launched at 6:45am,calm seas lt.south wind waves under 1 ft.Trolled west towards Ginna nuc.plant.Steady pic of browns employing spring time techniques, sticks off boards with long leads.Despite big blow Christmas day water was"gin" clear. My brother Mike and I had a steady pic.of small brown(2-4lbs).Sun came out mid-morning and the bigger "boys" showed up.We fished till 2:00pm the bite slowed up then.We trolled between Bear and the bouy markers off the Ginna plant.Being cautious not to enter the "restricted" zone in front the plant. We ended up 16 for 18 with some nice size males in the mix all catch and release.Happy New Year to all.Looking forward to a safe and "fishy"2015.post-151832-0-52097600-1420047407_thumb.jpgpost-151832-0-52097600-1420047407_thumb.jpgpost-151832-0-62775500-1420047643_thumb.jpgpost-151832-0-59838900-1420047686_thumb.jpg
