I got two Cannon DigiTroll 5 for 3 years now. Whatever line it came with, probobly 150lb as well.

On old boat I had 2 walkers , probobly made right after WW2 lol. Got them used, never had problem with cables.

In fact I got cable on my prop in tight turn , spool it up on my prop, stall the engine and f@@ked up my gunnel. Cable still in tack 😂😂😂

Not sure but it seems that guys with fish hawk the only ones who have problems with cable. Wondering now if sending Unit is the problem some how :/

    Any ideas ?

My old riggers had cables that about 10 Years old and never lost a ball ://

  3. I fished Aug 6 & 7 off of PC. Fished deep, 200 to 300 down 80 to 110 ft. Caught 10 steelhead, largest 18 lbs, on a spoon program. Mag bloody nose and carbon 14 did the damage. We need some rain and anything but an east wind to get the salmon going againattachicon.gifIMG_0840.JPGattachicon.gifIMG_0840.JPG

  4. Went out at 9.30 - trolled 30fow , hokked one fish , after 12.00 stopped marking any fish , trolled from 20 to 60fow - nothing.

Went to 170fow , was getting marks on buttom , finaly hooked a lake trout on jigging (no luck trolling ) ,

At 5pm came back to 30fow - marks started to apear , end up getting one more steelhead about 7pm ,

Kind of slow day for me today

    -------

Trolled stickbaits (deep ones and shallow ) - flat line 180-240ft out

One line on rigger - 100ft out , 15ft down.

    -------

Switching to neutral for 10sec every 5min - lended me the second fish

    -------

Bright colors works better , all strikes on baits with yellow and red

  5. Went out from marina , near jordan harbour , 10$ to launch the boat - pleny of parking - very nice place ,

    -----

Trolled 30-45FOW, right on the edge of muddy river stread and clear lake water , 2.5-3.5 kmh , one flatline - 200ft back , one line on rigger - 15-20ft down - 100ft back

    -----

    5 rainbows ,

    2 salmon ,

2 lost (no hook set )

    1 snap the line

    -----

Was very agressive if you put in neutral - 5sec every 3min, or change depth on rigger 2-3ft up or down

On flatline Let the line out a few feet once a while.

    ------

    No luck on planner boards.

  6. Yap :)

I use that tecnique for lakers on simcoe.

You hang the jig 10fo of the buttom and put the rod in rod holder , boat motion more then enough to make fish interested , as soon as you see fish comes to investigate you start to reel in the line , i dont know why but lakers love to chase it , so you keep the speed fast but letting the fish to close in on it and boom !

Some days they will chase it all the way from 110ft to 20ft.

    ---

But you got to have a flasher or realtine scope on a side (like my elite 7 )

Thats there you keeping the eyes on

    -----

Thats the pic frim last year.

There is fish on the buttom , and my jig on top (and more fish higher )

And on the right is the real time sonar (amplitude scope)

    ----

Catch ratio is im getting 4 lakers , while guys trolling getting one or two.
