For sale is a 2002 Mercury 2 stroke 40hp outboard. Very clean engine. Ran great when i winterized the boat last fall. Electric tilt, electric start. Prop has some paint peeling but no chips. Awesome info slipbob. Thanks a ton. I think my plan right now is to drift bloods and chunk herring but that may change depending on boat traffic. Thanks roughrider. Based on input from everyone, I was planning on drifting either bloods or sands and dropping a cut bait down just off the bottom. But sounds like just drift bloods. Thatll work for me.

I second the use of createx and wicked... been using them for my spoons for years and no issue. I just use what ever automotive clear coat in a can that I can get a hold of and havnt had any issues at all.

Chugbug... if you dont mind me asking, how did you rig up. If I was gonna drift I was gonna use my basic catfish slip sinker rig. 3oz egg, sinker, bead, swivel, 3ft. Leader with 7/0 circle hook. Am I at least in the ball park on rigging lol. Thanks again

As far as scenery I know it is... ive driven by and along the hudson hundreds of times and always wanted to put the boat In for the stripers. Looks like a blast if you can get into them. I will definitely let you know how we do and post pics if we do find em.
