My son (6yrs old) caught a pickerel last weekend at hemlock

No problem. If I got fined, at least it was with it to see her fight that fish. We caught it trolling for pike, so it was a surprise catch

My daughter caught this while trolling for pike. She was super pumped bringing this to the boat. Not so much when I told her she had to put it back. 19 1/2" 4.21#

Had a good time on honeoye, we caught 8 LM bass. Hemlock was a bit tougher we caught 1lm 1sm bass and a pickerel. Thanks for the info. Guys.

Which end holds the best fishing for bass with top water lures

Which of these lakes is best for targeting LM./sm. Bass? I have only really fished them using either top water rapalas or plastics type lures, worms, crabs, etc. So, I usually look for structure. Be it weed lines, Lilly pads, logs in the water. Then for sm. Bass I have done drifting a couple of times with a worm, and it's worked. I would like to know which end of these lakes has more of that kind of structure. Thanks for any info.

I am thinking of doing some pike fishing this year. Just wondering if trolling the edge of the weedline is the way to go or just casting along the weedline. Are stick baits, or mister twister type baits the go to lure, or is it something totally different.

Thanks I'll give it a try. Got some paddle tails and flukes, with 1oz. Jig head. I was marking a good amount of fish at 60-80 feet last weekend. Just hope they take the bait.

Has anyone had any luck jigging on these lakes. I know trolling with down riggers and Seth Green rigs are the most popular. Just wondering if anyone has tried to drift over top of the deep areas, and jig for Lakers.
